The Supplier Search
How it works
You’ve come here looking for your ideal suppliers and the Wedding Geek is here to help you. We will ask you to answer a number of questions so we can ascertain exactly what you are looking for in your suppliers. These answers are then matched to the data we hold for each supplier.
The Wedding Geek team will then create a longlist of suppliers that exactly or very closely match your criteria. The Wedding Geek will email each of the longlisted suppliers with the essential details to confirm they are available on the date, can work to your budget and are interested in being shortlisted.
The Suppliers then have a day in which to reply if they wish to be shortlisted. The Wedding Geek team will then evaluate all the positive replies, and send the suppliers that they feel best fit your criteria to you, up to the maximum number requested which will be either 5 or 10. At that point the suppliers will be notified they have been short listed and provided with some additional details of the enquiry so they can identify you if you then make a direct enquiry.
Overall from application to shortlist recommendations we currently look to turn around enquiries within 3-5 working days.

The Wedding Geek team will then review your request and start the process of finding you your ideal suppliers. Please note if looking for more than one supplier you will need to complete an application for each.

Do you quality check suppliers?
It is important to us that shortlisted suppliers are to the best of our knowledge, reliable and quality suppliers, so each application is individually approved before being added to the database.
We do understand different couples have different budgets so we do welcome suppliers from all cost brackets, but do require that minimum standards of service are offered.
We check out supplier websites, and other online presences to confirm they are running a legitimate business to the best of our knowledge.
Although we will perform several checks we always advise all couples to do their own checks and due diligence prior to booking any supplier and we accept can no responsibility or liability for any failings of a supplier shortlisted by the Supplier Search.
How much does it cost?
The Supplier Search is FREE for couples to use. Suppliers do pay a small fee to be shortlisted which covers the time taken to manually shortlist suppliers.
What if you don't have any suppliers that meet our criteria?
The Wedding Geek is still in it’s launch stage therefore our database isn’t always as big as we would like especially in some areas of the country. It is though constantly increasing in size day on day.
In the event, when we receive your enquiry, we don’t feel we have enough longlisted suppliers we will reach out to our network of suppliers and via other channels such as social media to recruit new suppliers to the database.
This will then give us a larger pool of suppliers to match your criteria. We do the leg work so you don’t have to! We also won’t send you suppliers for suppliers sake! So if you request a shortlist of 10 but we can only find 5 good fits we will only send you those 5.
How long does it take to receive our recommendations?
We currently aim to get recommendations back to you within 3-5 working days but at busy times it may take slightly longer but we will advise you if that is the case at the time of application.
How many searches can I make?
You can make as many searches as you like within reason! Essentially every search requires manual input from our team and therefore we ask that any couples making searches are doing so with the genuine intent to book a supplier.
If for any reason we feel an enquiry is not genuine or the search is being abused we reserve the right to decline a request.
What if I don't like any of the suppliers on our shortlist?
We are always looking to improve our recommendations so if the suppliers aren’t a good fit please let us know. We want to know why they aren’t a good fit as we may then be able to offer you some alternatives .
Please email us directly rather than submitting a new search as it will best allow us to identify why the suppliers weren’t a good fit.
